Camberley campaign seeks 50 minute rail link

Our objective is to be able to travel from Camberley to Waterloo in 50 minutes through a direct rail link between Camberley and Woking. Camberley gets a bad deal as it currently takes around 75 minutes compared to 48 minutes from Aldershot, The short term objective is to speed up the travel time from Camberley to Waterloo by bringing in more direct trains from Camberley and reducing the connection times at Ascot and Ash Vale. Objective: To  improve Camberley’s rail service

The current South Western rail franchise finishes in June 2017. The Dept. For Transport (DfT)  has issued their Invitation to Tender (ITT) for the new SW Trains Franchise which will commence in June 2017. To access the ITT and associated documents  click here

How can you help the rail campaign? Some suggestions:

  1. Contact South West Trains click here
  2. If you live in Surrey Heath write to your MP click here
  3. Write to the SCC councillor for Transport

The proposed Surrey Heath Community Rail Partnership is on hold whilst we hold further discussions with SW Trains on short term improvements.
